# Archiving and Restoring Content


Keep your account clear of previous work without losing any of your team's emails or messages.

## Archiving Content

Individual emails, SMS messages, blocks, and themes can all be archived in Dyspatch.

## Restoring Content

Find archived content on the <a href="https://app.dyspatch.io/archive/templates" target="_blank">Archive</a> page. Select the **Restore** button next to the content you'd like returned to the working area.

## Frequently Asked Questions

- **Where does my restored content get restored to?**<br/>The restored content will be placed back where it was archived from, if that folder still exists. If the parent folder no longer exists, the content will be restored to the first existing parent folder of its previous location.

- **Will archived content be removed from existing emails?**<br/>No, archived content in use in a template will not be removed from the template. For example, archived blocks used in an email with be assigned the title "Deleted block".

- **Can I edit archived content?**<br/>No, archived content is **read-only**. You may view the content but not make any changes to it without restoring it first.

- **Why don't I see the archive folder?**<br/>You may need to have archived content retrieval enabled for your account. Reach out to your Account Manager to find out how.
